Following the cooperation with the Ars Electronica<\/a> in the framework of this year’s 61st ISSS World Conference ISSS2017 Vienna<\/a> the BCSSS would like to express its gratitude again for this exciting collaboration and wishes to congratulate Gerfried Stocker<\/a>, the artistic director of the Ars Electronica, and his team on the successful festival Ars Electronica 2017<\/a>!<\/p>\n

We are grateful that Gerfried Stocker followed our invitation and held a keynote speech on the fifth day of the conference „From Science to Innovation to the Development of Society“ on „Re-inventing Art, Technology and Society“.<\/p>\n

We look back on a great meeting and particularly Stefan Blachfellner<\/a>, managing director of the BCSSS, was glad to be invited to visit the Ars Electronica 2017 in Linz and join the gala dinner of the festival.<\/p>\n

Furthermore we are pleased about a contribution by our valued BCSSS member Robert Trappl<\/a> during the Ars Electronica 2017<\/a>. Trappl, who some call „The Austrian Godfather  of Artificial Intelligence“, is head of the Austrian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence<\/a> in Vienna and Professor Emeritus of Medical Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence at the Center for Brain Research, Medical University of Vienna.<\/a> Within the scope of the Artificial Intelligence Symposium „The Other I“ Trappl talked on „Reality and Expectations“.<\/p>\n
