{"id":6418,"date":"2018-11-01T11:00:43","date_gmt":"2018-11-01T10:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bcsss.org\/?p=6418"},"modified":"2019-05-03T12:32:57","modified_gmt":"2019-05-03T10:32:57","slug":"mapping-the-landscape-of-patterns-across-domains-vol-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bcsss.org\/de\/2018\/mapping-the-landscape-of-patterns-across-domains-vol-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Mapping the Landscape of Patterns Across Domains &#8211; Vol. 1: Overview of Survey Results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Launched in February 2018 by the BCSSS Research Group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcsss.org\/research\/fields-and-groups\/systems-science-and-pattern-literacy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Systems Science and Pattern Literacy<\/a>, the Survey<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcsss.org\/2018\/join-the-journey-mapping-patterns-landscape\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em> Mapping the Landscape of Patterns across Domains<\/em><\/a> generated 140 responses.<\/p>\n<p>In general terms, respondents come from a variety of disciplines: systems science, systems thinking, business consulting, computer science and information technologies, design, architecture, permaculture, activism, group facilitation and more. Many have selected a wide range of knowledge disciplines, both in theory and praxis, which shows an overall inclination to trans-disciplinary approaches.<\/p>\n<p>We are sharing here the full, unfiltered answers to open key questions about patterns, their uses, and their relationship to systems, with a minimum of interpretation and processing except some loose clustering under broad themes for ease of overview for our readers. This advanced report only scratches the surface of the richness of what our respondents shared, in particular as far as practical aspects are concerned.
