{"id":9225,"date":"2016-04-02T18:24:16","date_gmt":"2016-04-02T16:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.bcsss.org\/2016\/emergent-systems-information-and-society-meeting\/"},"modified":"2016-04-02T18:24:16","modified_gmt":"2016-04-02T16:24:16","slug":"emergent-systems-information-and-society-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bcsss.org\/de\/2016\/emergent-systems-information-and-society-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Emergent Systems, Information and Society Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Research Group <a href=\"\/?p=2671\">Emergent Systems, Information and Society<\/a> held a meeting in the framework of emcsr avantgarde 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hamid Ekbia<\/strong>, Associate Professor and Director of the\u00a0Center for Research on Mediated Interaction\u00a0at the University of Indiana in Bloomington, held a <a href=\"\/?p=3212\"><strong>keynote on\u00a0the most recent phase in the co-evolution of computing and capitalism<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>About twenty people attended a <a href=\"\/?p=3221\"><strong>workshop on Systems-of-Systems<\/strong><\/a>, a field of interest to\u00a0the military sector, systems engineering, or organizational learning.\u00a0The aim of the workshop was to critically discuss theoretical foundations of the concept and to analyse implications for different fields of application.<\/p>\n<p>After the workshop the members of the group present in Vienna\u00a0drafted\u00a0a work plan for the years to come.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to be involved, send a mail to W.
