The first volume of the 2004 edition of the Encyclopedia
The editor of the well-known International Encyclopedia of Systems and Cybernetics (because of the cross-references of the entries a work put together in hyperlink style apt for the electronic age), Charles François, was elected honorary member of the Bertalanffy Center. He had donated in recent years entire volumes of early systems movement journals. In 2012, François celebrated his 90th birthday.
